I started my blog ”running round the valley” about my life in Silicon Valley almost four years ago. That was around the time I joined Ojos, a startup aiming to search everyone’s photos. Ojos became riya.com (photo search applied to all your photos – I worked on face detection and recognition), then riya became like.com (visual search applied to shopping for soft goods – I worked on the image similarity, search engine marketing, among other things, and for a while got to stare at women’s shoes all day). Time passed quickly as always, I stopped blogging for a while, but now I’m reviving this blog. (If you’re curious, here’s my old blog.)
